New Profiles:
Rising/Falling Interest:
Video from South Fort Myer’s first practice with a quick interview of Dallas Crawford:
DT Darian Cooper’s recruitment is heating up. Maryland is recruiting him the hardest and here is Cooper’s statement on the teams he is looking at:
"The schools that I'm definitely looking into as of right now are Penn State, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State and Maryland. I've got some other schools, like N.C. State, that I'm still kind of feeling out and things like that."

New Commit:
Kellen Jones (LB) – St. Pius X H.S. (TX)
Rising/Falling Interest:
WPXI.com has video interviews with Michigan offers DB Mike Caputo DE Delvon Simmons & LB Branden Jackson. Caputo has named a Top 4 without Michigan and doesn’t touch on recruiting. Jackson has not narrowed down his list and does mention Michigan in his interview. Simmons touches on recruiting a little bit but doesn’t get into specifics. Pittsburgh Live also has an article on how Jackson & teammate Simmons have been bonding over the process.

NOTE: Thank you for all the tweets, direct messages & e-mails asking where last weeks update was. Lance Callihan, editor-in-chief, was busy taking finals for his summer classes and decided he didn’t want to just throw a post up for the sake of doing it. Go Blue!

New Profiles Added:
Rising/Falling Interest:
OL Jake Fisher is reportedly having a press conference tonight to announce his commitment.
LB Travis Hughes has named a Top 5 without the Wolverines but acknowledged they are recruiting him hard.
DT Mickey Johnson has named a Top 5 of Michigan, UCLA, Nebraska, LSU & Tennessee.
ESPN’s Greg Biggins recently broke down the game of LB Woodson Greer:
Greer is a prototype inside, run stuffing linebacker and not really built for the 7-on-7 environment. He still showed why he has early offers from schools like Michigan and Arizona State and has a nice upside to him.
As we’ve noted before, Michigan is off the board for DE Aaron Lynch, but his recruitment is getting interesting due to Florida & Florida State reportedly pulling even with Notre Dame.

We recently found out that coach Rod and staff had narrowed their recruiting search down to around 70 prospects. Here are my probably way off guesses on who those kids are, and why I think they made the cut. Some of them I know are right and some are pure speculation on my part. I will list them position by position. And of course recruiting is so fluid that this list can change by the second. Oh yeah, there are a few wild cards at the bottom who could earn offers with a good camp showing.
QUARTERBACKS – (3) Looking for 1? RR has stated that he would like to take a QB in each class.
1. Cardale Jones. Will probably end up at OSU. But who knows? Visited UM and seemed to like it.
2. Marquise Williams. Is deciding on the 26th between UM, Va Tech and UNC with the Hokies and Tar heels having the advantage.
3. Brett Hundley. Pretty open to the process. Stud.
RUNNING BACKS - (7) Looking for 1?
1. Dee Hart. This one is pretty obvious. UM has been recruiting him for quite a while now and IMO has always been #1 in his heart. He was going to be an early commit, but it seems he will now wait until fall or later to make his choice.
2. Justice Hayes. An instate kid who is highly ranked by all services. He seems to like UM, but seems to be pretty open at this point.
3. Savon Huggins. An absolute stud RB. He has visited a ton of schools so far, and I would imagine the staff will continue perusing him for a visit to AA.
4. Andrew Buie. A quick kid from Florida.
5. Malcolm Crockett. Has listed UM in his top 3 in the past.
6. Jarrell Oliver. Has visited AA a few times already. Would the staff take a commit from him at this time? I think he is more of a back burner kid at this point. (Verballed to Utah.)
7. Redmound Wright. Likes UM. Great stats last year. (Verballed to Stanford.)
WIDE RECEIVER – (7) Verbal: Shawn Conway. Looking for 1 more. First come, first serve?

Michigan Football 2011 Recruiting Board
NOTE: The board has been updated to include all of the new Rivals and ESPN recent updates.
New Offers (Total = 155):
Desimon Green (DE) – is a do it all freak athlete who is willing to play any position for the good of the team. Green had 27 sacks (really) last season as a junior at Clairton H.S. (PA). Recently told Tom VH a Top 5 of: “Texas Tech, Michigan State, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and Michigan are the top schools so far."
Remound Wright (RB) – Scouts, Inc. evaluation says that he, “is a strong, powerful back with great production. He lacks a bit of height which may be deterring some programs but is compactly built with a low center of gravity assisting his great body control, balance and downhill running strength.”
B.J. DuBose (DE) – has also received scholarship offers from Miami (FL), Nebraska, Purdue; Iowa. He is open to leaving Florida while hoping to receive an offer from USC. I would consider him a long-shot since Michigan jumped in late.

7. David Andrews - Norcross, GA - Georgia Bulldog commit
After taking only one offensive linemen in 2010 the Wolverines will need to really hit the recruiting trail for the big fellas. The Wolverines have a nice group of young linemen in Christian Pace, Quinton Washington, Ricky Barnum, Patrick Omameh, Taylor Lewan and Michael Schofield. With that said, Michigan will look to add depth this recruiting season. Michigan is looking out west after offering four kids in Arizona and New Mexico. Chandler, Arizona offensive tackle Christian Westerman. Andre Yruretegoyena has two teammates in Ann Arbor (Roh, Lewan) which could only help the Wolverines chances. In-state star Anthony Zettel has the athletic ability and size to thrive in the spread offense. Zettel has been favoring the Wolverines for some time now. Watch out for the New Orleans duo as Trai Thomas has shown very high interest and Jonah Austin already has his offer from U-M. The Sunshine State has some great linemen of their own in Tampa Plants Tony Posada. Posada will visit U-M. U-M has a great shot here however grew up a Gator fan. An offer from Florida may end it but have they waited to long? These kids are all very big, very athletic and simply good. U-M is doing a great job in terms of identifying talent up front handing out 14 total offers so far.
