Courtney Sims (6’10” 210 lbs.) – Came to Michigan despite also receiving offers from Syracuse,
Maryland, Memphis & Boston College; was ranked the 36th best player in the country by Rivals.com. Had a solid four year career for the maize & blue highlighted by a career-best 33 point effort against Delaware State and a 16 rebound night against Iowa during his junior season. His biggest disappointment while at U of M was not making the NCAA tournament during his junior season. The Wolverines started the season 16-3, then tail-spinned to finish 18-10, ended up on the bubble and eventually in the NIT. Since his time at U of M, Sims has received a few cups of coffee in the NBA, playing two games with the Indiana Pacers in 2007 and more recently having two ten day contracts with the Pheonix Suns & New York Knicks last season. During the 2008 season, Sims won the NBDL MVP Trophy.
