Had a huge April, adding 8 prospects. 4 star prospects Joey Bosa (DE-FL-5 stars on some sites), Ezekiel Elliott (RB-MO), Marcus Baugh (TE-CA), J.T. Barnett (DTQB-TX), Alex Anzalone (LB-PA) and three stars Jayme Thompson (S-OH) and Tracy Sprinkle (DT-OH). Lewis Neal (LB-NC) had also verballed, but recently opened things back up after an intriguing offer from LSU.

Notre Dame closed up their very solid offensive line class adding 4 star guard John Montelus. The Irish also received verbals from 4 star tight end Mike Heuerman and 3 star corner Devin Butler.

Bill O’Brien continues to have very good success on the recruiting trail. He bolstered his defensive front gaining the pledge of 4 star DT Greg Webb. PSU also nabbed OL prospect Andrew Nelson.

Sparty has a solid group so far. They gained a commit from 3 star Ohio linebacker Shane Jones (LB-OH)as well as 3 star dual-threat QB Damion Terry (DTQB-PA).

Making the largest leap in the rankings this month are the Iowa Hawkeyes. All seven of their commits came during the month of April, led by borderline 4 star Indianapolis defensive end David Kenney. 3 stars Nathan Bazata (DT-NE), Colin Goebel (OL-IL), Brant Gressel (DT-OH), Delano Hill (S-MI), John Kenny (LB-IN) and Derrick Willies (WR-IL).

Nebraska also had a productive month in recruiting. Their biggest coup was 4 star linebacker Josh Baneras (LB-NE). Others on their way to Lincoln include three star prospects Courtney Love (LB-OH) and Wisconsin product AJ Natter (DE-WI).

The Badgers had their busiest month to date as well led by 4ish star defensive end Chikwe Obasih (WI). Bucky also bolstered their receiving corps with 3 star tight end T.J. Watt (WI) and 3 star receiver Rob Wheelwright (OH).

New head man Tim Beckman has done very well for himself so far on the recruiting trail. It seems that the Illini have landed their quarterback of the future in 4 star Bolingbrook, IL product Aaron Bailey. Bailey is one of the top dual threat QB’s in this class and was a fantastic get for Illinois. The Illini finished off the month with three stars Jarrod Clements (DT-OH), Christian DiLauro (DE/TE–OH) and Merrick Jackson (DT-IL). Also jumping into the fold is Peoria, IL running back Kendrick Foster.
