Michigan is looking to add a few defensive end recruits to the already stellar 2013 recruiting class. One defensive end that has been in constant contact with the Michigan coaches is Alquadin Muhammad. Alquadin hails from Ramsey (N.J.) and attends the high school Don Bosco Prep. Alquadin currently stands at 6-4, 230 lbs., and has become one of the hottest defensive end recruits in the country. He has offers from schools such as Alabama, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Oregon, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Alquadin’s main contact at Michigan is Coach Mallory. Alquadin says that he and Coach Mallory have a great relationship because Mallory talks with Mu
hammad everyday on Facebook, which shows Alquadin that Michigan has high interest in him. After Coach Mallory watched Muhammed’s tape, he told Alqaudin that they liked how he got off the ball and his aggressiveness. Muhammad doesn’t have any favorites at the moment and he doesn’t plan on announcing until around National Signing Day.
What factors will play in Muhammad’s decision?
“I’d like to go somewhere where I feel comfortable at, even after football,” Muhammad said. How well I like the coaches, which school shows me the best time while I’m on my visit, and how many seniors are graduating along with how well I fit in at the university.”
Alquadin had some great things to say about Michigan, which is a great thing as the Wolverines should be in the mix for Muhammad.
“Michigan is a great academic school. The fan and alumni base is really crazy. Everyone loves Michigan. It truly is a great program, all of their games are televised, it’s relatively close and it’s a great university overall.”
Muhammad is a consensus four-star on all of the recruiting sites and he is ranked No.37 overall in 247sport’s Top247.
