According to Chris Balas, The Wolverine, Michigan is lining up a home and home with Utah of the Pac-12. This would be in advance of the currently agreed upon Big Ten and Pac-12 series that begins in 2017.

Not nearly as exciting an announcement as other possible Pac-12 opponents, but in reality Utah is still BCS level competition that in addition to Notre Dame?? creates a solid slate of opponents both years. And hopefully the match-ups would go better than the 2008 version:
