- Name: Thomas Rawls
- Position: Runningback
- Height & Weight: 5’10” 215 lbs.
- High School: Flint Northern Vikings (MI)
On Himself: “I’m a power back and a speed back. I’m also pretty elusive. I can break tackles and always find a crease.”
- Rawls was a unanimous All-State football choice for the 2010 season and was also named Valley MVP. He finished his senior season 1,585 yards on 150 carries and 19 TD’s despite being injured for part of the season. His best performance was a ridiculous 396 yard effort against Bay City Central.
Sean O’Connell, UMGoBlog.com: "Rawls is a nice combination of speed and power. One might think that he would be strictly a power back at his size, but he actually has pretty good feet and can make people miss. He is probably the top back in Michigan this year, and is be the perfect fit for Michigan’s new offense."
Scouts Inc., ESPN.com: “Rawls should be seeing his recruiting stock rise in the near future. He is a physically imposing back with good downhill attributes. Hits the hole with authority and flashes good downhill burst and momentum. Quick to see and hit the cutback … we still feel like Rawls can contribute as a downhill runner at the major college level and is falling under the radar. Not overly flashy but this guy can pound it between the tackles and move the chains.”
