He runs with great power, explosiveness and rarely goes down on first contact. Derrick has a very powerful lower body, good vision and is very athletic for a kid his size. His speed is also an asset. Some sites report him having run a 4.31, but he looks more like a high 4.4 to 4.5 kid to me. He is the downhill runner that Michigan is looking for.”
