HIGHLIGHTS
Johnson is wearing #1 for the white team and makes a tackle at :13 mark, returns a punt on the next play, gets passed on at the 1:34 mark, pushes out the ball-handler at 2:24 and returns a kickoff at the 3:15 mark. I’m not sure if he’s the QB that comes in to play the Wildcat or not, for awhile I was convinced it wasn’t him, then one play towards the end I thought it was.
QUOTES
[more]
Pre-Commitment: “They say I fit pretty well in their defense. If I were to go there, I would get a chance to play early on. I just really enjoyed the people there. Coach Rod (Rich Rodriguez) and his staff were great. They are high up there because I enjoyed myself and feel like I fit in that environment with those people. I can see myself as a Wolverine.”
On Michigan: “I just felt comfortable with everybody there from the coaches to the players to the other recruits and with the fans. I just felt at home with everybody. The academics are great. It looks like they take real good care of you there. (While there) I felt like I never left home.’’
On Receiving an offer from Michigan: “I was surprised (by Michigan’s offer). I was like, Michigan and the Big House is offering me? It was unexpected really.’’
ANALYSIS
Jay Roth, Rummel Head Coach: “First of all, everybody who knows Carvin or who has been around him knows that he’s as good of a person as he is a football player. That’s a compliment to him and his momma. Football-wise, he’s a ballhawk. He’s always around the football making plays.’’
