HIGHLIGHTS

QUOTES

On himself: “I cover really well. I have great hips and closing speed. I also play offense and I’m very explosive. I want to improve my speed. And I’m still working on my feet. Overall, I’d like to get bigger and stronger.”

ANALYSIS

Sean O’Connell, UMGoBlog.com: "Tamani Carter is a very versatile athlete on both sides of the ball. As a wide receiver, he runs pretty good routes and has OK hands. He is pretty shifty, but does not have overwhelming speed. I personally think he projects better on defense, where he could play either corner or safety. Carter has a nice back pedal and breaks on the ball very well. He is a very physical player and has very good football instincts. The former Minnesota Gopher verbal is a nice first pick-up for new head man Brady Hoke."

Scouts Inc., ESPN.com: “Carter is a quick-footed skill prospect with very good athleticism. Looks shorter on film than listed measurables. Has more than adequate height but his leaner frame and lack of great strength are concerns when projecting for the college level. Stand out at bother corner and wide receiver and could get recruited at either …. Overall, Carter is a fluid athlete with great ball skills. Lacks game-changing attributes when projecting for major college level but will add good versatility and athleticism to a future roster.”
