This week we profile Brendan Morrison. He wore the maize and blue from ’94-’97. Of his time at Michigan, Morrison said, “It was very humbling. We had the best fans at Michigan.” Morrison was the two-time CCHA player of the year and captained the Wolverines to the NCAA title in 1996.

In 1997, Morrison won the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the NCAA’s best player, while amassing 31 goals, 57 assists and 88 points in just 43 games. Following his time at Michigan, Morrison would have his own Bobblehead night at Yost.

In the NHL Brendan would go on to become 9th on the Vancouver Canucks all-time scoring list and 11th all time on the Iron Man list for consecutive games played with 542 (streak ended by a broken wrist). He also helped Canada win a World Championship in 2004.
Sports Illustrated recently named Brendan Morrison the 8th best all-time athlete in University of Michigan athletic history. UMGoBlue recognizes Morrison as an Immortal. Morrison finished last season with the Dallas Stars and after majoring in Economics he hopes to start a business one day when his NHL career ends.
Here is a highlight video of Morrison's time with the Vancouver Canucks.
