HIGHLIGHTS

PRE-COMMITMENT INTERVIEW

QUOTES

On committing to Michigan: "After my second visit up to Michigan, I knew it was done. It felt so right being there. It was the most comfortable situation of any of the visits I went on during this process."

On the Big Ten: “The MAC is a good conference, but personally I think the Big Ten is the best there is. It would be kind of dumb of me to turn down an opportunity to play in the best conference there is.”

ANALYSIS

Scouts Inc.: “Pace is a very proficient run blocking offensive lineman.. Comes off the ball like a locomotive andPace derails the defensive lineman on run blocks. Really dominates the defender on base and drive blocks. Fires out low and hard with a flat back and strikes the defensive lineman across with a jarring first punch.. Pass protection is sound especially on play action and quick passes.. Pace is a very good offensive lineman that will probably line up at the guard position due to his height. He has the aggressiveness and nastiness coaches look for in a lineman. Pace is like a pit bull going after the defender.”

Touch The Banner: “Looking at film, he's athletic enough for guard. He plays tackle in high school, but many top linemen do because it gives them a chance to collapse one CPacewhole side of the line. Pace does an excellent job of finishing his blocks; the running back is sometimes seven or eight yards downfield and Pace is still latched onto his man. When he gets a pancake block, he often just lies on top of his man, which is demoralizing for a defensive player. He drives his legs and doesn't just use his mass to move smaller defenders.”

Avon Lake Head Coach Dave Dlugosz: “He’s very intelligent. Some players understand: I’ve got to block this player on this play. Christian can look at the defense and he understands the concept of the play, and he’s capable of making adjustments not only for himself but for the rest of the team as well.
