HIGHLIGHTS
No sound for this one, but still all Forcier Highlights:
QUOTES
On his workout regimen: “My dad taught me, it's 24-7. I gotta get you ready. I need to deliver Michigan a five-star prospect.”
On his mechanics: “I always wanted to have the smoothest release to where it's so smooth it looks like I'm not even trying when I throw the ball.''
Rich Rodriguez on Forcier: “Jason helped us, even though he transferred. … Tate’s a very exciting guy to watch … he’s very accurate and can run very well. He makes a lot of plays when plays aren’t even there. … We’re going to have some quality competition at QB.”
ANALYSIS
Scouts, Inc.: “..Forcier lacks ideal height, but he makes a ton of plays with both his arm and feet. He has excellent speed for the position, but he's really a passer who happens to be athletic enough to run a spread or read-option attack with ease.. He isn't afraid to take off on the run. Can create second chances with his feet and pick up a first down.. Has ideal skills for his team's offense--excellent pre-snap reads, a quick release and great accuracy. Has adequate zip and arm strength for the scheme, but he's more of a timing passer than a gunner.. Forcier needs to find the right scheme to make the most of his abilities, but he shows outstanding intangibles, anticipation and savvy in the passing game. He's an excellent prospect who finds ways to overcome his size deficiencies.”
TAKKLE: “Tate looks like a natural for the spread offense. He is a very good athlete and QB. He gets rid of the ball
in a hurry with good velocity and accuracy. Forcier is also a very exciting runner.”
Scott Kennedy, Scout: “What Forcier lacks in size, he is a plus in every other category. He has good arm strength, a quick release, is extremely accurate, and is very mobile. A confident player, Forcier should not shrink away from the limelight of big college football.”
Scripps Ranch Head Coach Sergio Diaz: “He's one of the best I've seen in high school. There are quarterbacks who can pass, and those who can run. He's great at both. He's got incredible strength in his arm, incredible accuracy in his arm and he can throw on the run. And when he runs, he's a playmaker. He can make people miss.”
