Scout is the first to predict Michigan will win the Legends division in this preview. The website, known for its recruiting prowess, has the Wolverines finishing 9-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The predicted losses being Notre Dame, Iowa and Illinois. Interesting that Scout predicts Michigan to beat Ohio State then face them in a re-match for the conference title and a shot at a BCS bowl game.
Michigan Big Ten Unit Rankings:
Scout’s summary of the offense is that it was successful last year ranking 8th in the nation in total yards. Al Borges wants more dropback pocket passing and power running but doesn’t necessarily have the personnel to do this. The key to the offenses success is predicted Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Denard Robinson’s ability to adapt to the new style and stay healthy. The defense last year was a “disaster.” Scout expects massive changes and a night and day improvement over last year’s squad with Mike Martin and Ryan Van Bergen anchoring the line.
