4th Annual Season Contest Prediction Standings Through 5 Games

Standings for the contest through 5 games. Entries were made as comments here on the blog (UMGoBlog), via Facebook or in the Forum. For every game 108 points is awarded for the most accurate prediction all the way down to 1 for the least accurate. There is one anomaly as Tyler Altman entered twice, once via Facebook and once via UMGoBlog, but they are identical and I’ll delete one of them after the Illinois game. Next time I’ll include a numerical ranking next to each entry. Also, as of now, the top 27 entries will be entered into the Bowl Game Contest for the 12 prizes as we gave away three entries during our Notre Dame contest. If anyone has any questions, leave a comment below.

Notre Dame Game Contest Winners

Commenter bouje won the Adidas Denard Robinson Legacy Night Game Jersey by being the only entrant to answer 7 of the 10 questions correctly. Since the Michigan defense didn’t sack Tommy Rees, everyone got the 10th question incorrect. So bouje answered 7/9 questions correctly.  Four other entrants answered 6 questions: 1) MichFan4Life 2) Garrett Fishaw 3) Matt Brislin & 4) Rick. Bill Banks won the secondary contest by correctly predicting the Michigan Offense would total 452 yards right on the nose. For his prediction, Bill has been shipped a collectible Under The Lights Program.

How Confident Are The Fans About Michigan’s 2011 Season?

Throughout the year I’m going to take people’s predictions in our contests and use them to grade fan’s confidence at various points during the season. Now every true Michigan fan prays and hopes for a 12-0 season, but in the context of a contest with prizes on a line their true feelings come out. Now there are outliers for both the positive and the negative in the sense that there are always a few fans that blindly always state 12-0 no matter what and a few predict the low end to try and game the system.  Without further ado, here is a breakdown of just how confident you the fans are about Brady Hoke’s first season as head coach in Ann Arbor?
