With 5 assists in last nights 72-61 win over Illinois, Trey Burke broke Gary Grant’s 27 year old freshmen season assist record. Burke now has 143 on the season, Grant had 140 in 1984-85. Burke now stands 17th overall, in Wolverines’ single season history, also surpassed Jalen Rose’s best assist season total of 140 during the 1992-93 campaign.
