WOW! Since the last recruiting update two weeks ago Michigan has received an impressive four verbal commitments. Tight ends
Devin Funchess and A.J. Williams as well as linebackers Joe Bolden and James “Biggs” Ross all joined the fold. Funchess is a kid with a ton of upside and is athletic enough to play some receiver as well. A.J. Williams is a monster tight end who could potentially end up on the o-line at some point. Joe Bolden said that he could commit at any time and he did just that. He and his family drove up to A2 and did it in person. On the other hand, James Ross was quite the surprise. He was going to take some time, but needed to secure his spot as a Wolverine ASAP. Linebacker now looks to be full and the question is does Michigan take tight end Ron Thompson if he wants on board too? Probably.

Visits this week
Bri’onte Dunn – the Ohio State commit is in AA as I write this with his dad. This is a huge visit. Don’t look for things to happen too quickly here, but it’s a great first step!
The Farmington Hills Boys – I was a little bit surprised that Mario Ojemudia and Aaron Burbridge didn’t drop for MSU last weekend. This of course is great news for Wolverine fans. Ojemudia now says he is 90% sure where he wants to attend college. WOTS is that he might drop for Michigan this weekend or could wait until his birthday later in the month. If he were to commit to Michigan I would imagine that it would be hard for Burbridge not to do the same at some point. Don’t look now Michigan State, but your “dominance” in state looks to be wavering a bit.
Other Recruiting News
Quarterback Chad Kelly was in Ann Arbor earlier in the week for a visit. Kelly is the nephew of Bills great Jim Kelly. He is being heavily recruited, but does not hold a Michigan offer yet.
