Sam Webb Interviewing Jeremy Gallon:
Rich Rodriguez on Gallon: “One of the most productive guys in the state of Florida the last three years. We’ll use his primarily as a slot receiver, but he might see some time at running back.”
Scouts, Inc.: “Ideally, he is a scatback/slot receiver/corner candidate with outstanding speed, quickness and change-of-direction skills.. Runs low and gets lost behind his blockers, does a good job using his stature to his advantage and doesn’t take many big hits as a result. He can really accelerate and shows explosive first step quickness as a back. Has good vision, can hit the cutback and he has the speed and second gear to hit the edge and turn the corner.. His size and lack of overall strength will always be somewhat of a hindrance especially if he ends up at corner, but he does play big and he is a tough, scrappy player in run support.. Despite his size Gallon’s speed and versatility make him a great return man candidate with upside to be a difference maker in this area. Very good overall prospect with size limitations.”
Eroc Wolverine, GoBlueMichiganWolvinere: “Super quick athlete who also nice a nice explosion thats him create and play well in space. Moves his feet very well and cuts of his inside foot. Cutting off inside foot allows Gallon to maintain speed and balance both into and out of cuts. Despite his size he shows ability to take a hit.”
Ace Anbender, The Wolverine Blog: “Gallon is a tremendous talent, a four-star player who projects to be a fearsome slot and returner.”
U.S. Army Game Selection Committee: “When you are talking about playmakers from the state of Florida, Jeremy Gallon better be in the conversation. He’s outstanding with the ball in his hands, especially in space.”
NOTE: Gallon played QB while at Apopka, but since he won’t be playing QB at U of M, I decided his passing statistics weren’t important.
