ANALYSIS

Sean O’Connell UMGoBlog: "Heitzman has a tremendous motor and uses his hands very well to shed would be blockers. He is a very good tackler and has a nose for the ball. He’ll more than likely need a redshirt year to work on his quickness and strength. He will probably end up at defensive end, but could possibly play tight end."

Scouts Inc., ESPN.com: “Heitzman possesses solid size for a high school defensive end and should be able to add more good bulk as he physically develops and gets into a college weight program … As a pass rusher he displays the ability to get into the blocker with some leverage and create pressure with a bull rush. Needs to be more active with his weapons, develop his pass rush arsenal, and not attack the whole man. Heitzman is a solid defender who will flash some tools to be tough versus the run and pass.”
