QUOTES
On Michigan: “I just felt so comfortable on the campus and I got a chance to see all of the facilities. The academic center is real close to the football facilities and I was very impressed with the school from an academic standpoint. They have a real strong sports management program here.”
On Greg Mattison: “Coach Mattison had the best defense in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and now he’s going to bring that style of defense here. In the spring game you saw the defense shut the offense down. They are going to be very aggressive and the best players are going to see the field.”
On Himself: “I have good size, I’m fast for my size, good at finding the ball, I have good enough hands to be a receiver if I wanted to be, but I still have a lot of room for improvement.”
ANALYSIS
Sean O’Connell, UMGoBlog.com: “Anthony was a sleeper up until a few weeks ago when Michigan extended him an offer. After that Anthony’s recruitment started to blow up quite a bit. Standifer is a bigger corner at 6’1” which allows him room to possibly grow into a safety. He’ll start out at short side corner however. He is not an exceptional athlete, but has terrific ball skills and is a very instinctive player. I expect his ratings to rise and should be a multi year starter for Michigan.”
