Name: Taco Charlton
Position: Defensive End
Height & Weight: 6’6” 235 lbs.
High School: Pickerington Central Tigers (OH)
Why he committed to Michigan: “It was just everything about it, after seeing that basketball game and talking to the coaches, you just couldn’t pass it up. It’s everything you want in a college. It wasn’t anyone I picked them over. They were just the best one out of everyone I had. They just felt like the right choice.”
Sean O’Connell, UMGoBlog.com: “Reminds me quite a bit of 2012 prospect Pharaoh Brown as a defensive end. Very raw, but his ceiling is very, very high. Taco has a tremendous motor and has the ability to chase ball carriers from behind and sideline to sideline. He has a great frame at 6’6” and has yet to grow into it. After a redshirt and a few years in a college strength training program he has the potential to be a very special player. He needs to work some more with his hands and again, needs to add strength and quickness.”
