Profile for 2013 U of M Commit David Dawson

Cass Tech
  • Name: David Dawson
  • Position: Offensive Tackle
  • Height & Weight: 6’4” 290 lbs.
  • High School: Cass Tech Technicians (MI)

Goals for this season: “In my junior year I just want to dominate in everything I do. I want to become the best lineman I can be and try my hardest to get my name on the college radar. I also want to become an All-American.”

Jon Jennings,; “Dawson has great size as a to-be junior.  He is very strong at the point of contact and does a great job of getting leverage against the defensive players.  As a pass blocker he is very good as soon as he gets his hands on you however needs to improve with keeping his feet moving.  Tends to stand very high in pass pro as well.  Dawson is an elite run blocker however and projects to be an interior lineman at the next level.  It won’t be long before Michigan offers, but expect it to be as a guard and not a tackle.”

Started as a Sophomore on a great Cass Tech team in 2010.

None yet but will get many major D-1 offers after camping this summer.
