QUOTES

On Michigan Coach Brady Hoke: “E.J. Levenberry Jr. - ESPN.comLet me tell you about Coach Hoke. He’s a family person. He does everything by the book. He cares about each one of his players. … They’re family, and they treat you like how your parents raised you and how they want you to grow up as a man. They’re going to give you that tough love, but in the long run, it’s going to pay off.”

On Michigan (2/23/12): “They’re the leader right now, but I’m keeping my options open because it’s a business, and things change every year.”

ANALYSIS

Sean O’Connell, UMGoBlog.com: “Levenberry displays good straight-line and lateral speed and breaks on the ball pretty well while in pass coverage. He has the size and frame that will make college coaches drool. He could play either spot, but I think he would be a great SAM linebacker. Much of this highlight video is of E.J. timing the snap count of the opposition and rushing into the backfield, so it’s a little difficult to see his all-around game. Still, Levenberry’s combination of power, agility, speed and instincts make him one of the better linebacker recruits I’ve seen for 2013. Very few linebackers posses the skill set of Mr. Levenberry.”

Jon Jennings, UMGoBlog.com: “A man among boys, Levenberry has good size for an OLB position. He is very quick to the ball and runs sideline to sideline as well as anyone. He is very strong at the point of contact and knows how to lay the lumber. Does a great job of keeping his feet moving after contact. He is great at diagnosing plays. His football IQ is through the roof. In the passing game, Levenberry has skills most safeties would kill for. He knows how to get in passing lanes and has long arms to deflect passes. He breaks on the ball well and has the athletic ability to pick it and get yardage after the catch. With some added weight and strength, Levenberry is your prototypical SAM linebacker and an impact player at the next level.”
