On his offers so far (6/7/11): “Things are really rolling fast for me, I never expected any of this. I mean all of these offers are from legendary programs so that makes it even more special. Cal is the local school, USC is my childhood favorite and No. 1 for my parents too and Michigan has incredible tradition. I’m going to camp with USC but that will be the only one I do and I have no plans to make an early commitment right now, I want to play out the process.”
Inside or Outside Linebacker (12/22/10): “Where I plan to be depends on how my body develops.”
Jon Jennings, UMGoBlog.com: "Speed is the name of Hutchings game. He plays very fast and is one of the better pass coverage linebackers I have seen. As a sophomore he played OLB below 200 pounds but still played very physical. He reads plays well and keeps outside contain very well. He’ll be a sure fire 4 star kid for the 2013 class and with additional size and two great seasons he can be a candidate for 5 star status."
Brandon Huffman, Scout.com: "He played at 6-0, 195-pound at outside linebacker as a sophomore, but he’s grown more into his body and has three years to do it. Now he’s up to 6-1, 210. Hutchings excelled in coverage and does a good job on his pass drops. He’s also got very good, quick hands, and can catch the ball (which he did on offense). Tuck this name for down the line."
