QUOTES
On playing high school football for the first time this year: “I know the game will be a lot faster than I’m used to, but I feel I can adjust. I’m actually looking forward to competing and proving that I can play with Americans. I feel like all my hard work is paying off with this opportunity.”
Why Chattanooga: “My family and I fell in love with Chattanooga. The people there were very friendly to us, and I like the fact that it’s not too big or too small. I know it’s going to be tough moving away from my family, but sometimes you have to sacrifice in life to reach your dream.”
ANALYSIS
Jon Jennings, UMGoBlog.com: “Obviously has the pro-typical pro-style passer frame. Despite that, he still is pretty athletic. Throws the deep ball very accurately and has a very strong arm. O’Connor is also mechanically sound and gets rid of the ball in a hurry. Certainly a quarterback made for the west coast offense. He played as a freshman in Canada and has recently transferred to a school in Tennessee. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops.”
