Added 4 star linebacker Ben Gedeon (Hudson, OH) on 4/10. Quote from The Detroit News: "Michigan just has what I’m looking for,” Gedeon told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "It has what I need to support me academically, I relate well with the coaches, it’s a great football program with players who really like the coaches and enjoy the program.”

Had a huge April, adding 8 prospects. 4 star prospects Joey Bosa (DE-FL-5 stars on some sites), Ezekiel Elliott (RB-MO), Marcus Baugh (TE-CA), J.T. Barnett (DTQB-TX), Alex Anzalone (LB-PA) and three stars Jayme Thompson (S-OH) and Tracy Sprinkle (DT-OH). Lewis Neal (LB-NC) had also verballed, but recently opened things back up after an intriguing offer from LSU.

I love football recruiting. National Letter of Intent Day is one of my favorite days of the year, but it can be somewhat boring if your school isn’t in the running for many prospects. For Michigan, Commitmas Day came a little late, or a little early depending on how you look at it. I for one will never forget 2/18/2012. A day when my beloved Wolverines received verbal commitments from six four star prospects in a matter of 12ish hours.
Kyle Bosch (4 star OG/OT), Wyatt Shallman (4 star athlete), David Dawson (3/4 star OG/OC), Jourdan Lewis (3/4 star CB), Chris Fox (4 star OT) and Taco Charlton (4 star LB/DE) all pledged for UM on the same day that the Wolves beat OSU in hoops. Oh yeah, the next day Jake Butt (4 star TE) and Logan Tuley-Tillman (4 star OT) also dropped. Then there was a two day drought until the tall and lanky Jaron Dukes (probable 3 star) committed, followed by a lengthy 3 day hiatus when 4 star OL Patrick Kugler decided to sign up. Those nine verbals brought Michigan’s total commits for the 2013 class up to 13. With 9ish spots left where will the staff decide to go with the rest?
Quarterback (DONE)
Commits: Shane Morris
Prospects: With 5 star Shane Morris already in the fold it will be pretty hard to lure in another quarterback anyways, so Michigan is likely done here. There have been rumbling of Riley Ferguson possibly visiting Michigan this spring, but the odds of him signing with the Maize and Blue are next to zero. Henry Poggi’s teammate Shane Cockerille could be a possibility, but there is some speculation of whether or not his offer is committable, if he even has one at all.
