QUOTES
His coach John Papas (boston.espn.com): “He’s an incredible athlete for an offensive lineman. He came to us as a basketball player. He was skinny and extremely raw, but I think he’s become one of the best linemen on the East Coast.”
ANALYSIS
Sean O’Connell UMGoBlog.com: “At first glance Eric looks like a big tight end out there. He is very athletic for a kid his size and runs very well for a kid that is 6’7”. Olson does a great job of getting downfield to the second level of the defense. He is a very aggressive run blocker and also has pretty quick feet as well. Eric is a bit of a sleeper at this point, but has the skills to be a good player. I expect him to be a three star kid by the end of the year.”
Scouts Inc., ESPN.com: “Olson displays the explosion and playing strength necessary to dominate as a run blocker against his present level of opposition. Has the size and athleticism for the offensive tackle position at the major level of competition … Olson may need some time and perhaps a red shirt year to add bulk to his frame while polishing his technical skills; once accomplished he should have a long and productive career at the BCS level of play.”
