UMGoBlue.com’s umich1’s favorite Michigan Football Memories
What is your best memory of Michigan Football in the last 25 years? I’m not so much looking for an entire game; but a specific play, a specific moment in the stands, perhaps a specific outburst in a bar watching a game, whatever.
For me, I’ll offer 5, in no particular order:
1) The final play against Penn State in 2002. Chris Perry runs it into the endzone in overtime FTW. First overtime in Michigan Stadium. I had my first Blimpy Burger that night in celebration. The crowd was electric that night under the lights.
2) The storm of 2007. Lightening and heavy downpours hit Michigan Stadium, and all of the spectators were encouraged to return to their cars. That was fine and dandy for those who drove to Michigan Stadium, but for the students, well…we had nowhere to go! We all stood, getting doused in the warm September rain, jumping up and down chanting "Lets Go Blue" and such.
