MGoAuction is a great site auctioning off items to raise money for undergraduate scholarships at the University of Michigan. Between now and November 30, there are still 105 items left to bid on, ranging from a signed ball by Justin Verlander to “The Jersey”.
“The Jersey” is the premier item this year and is signed by 57 former Michigan football stars including Charles Woodson, Jake Long, Anthony Carter (who signed on the #1), Brandon Graham, Zoltan Mesko, Larry Foote, Chad Henne, Elvis Grbac and so many more.
What a series against the Yankees. From the rain delay which cost Tigers ace and soon to be AL Cy Young winner Justin Verlander a 2nd start in the series, to 2 Yankee routs. It all ended yesterday with Papa Grande throwing some cheese to Alex Rodriguez, and A-rod whiffing like a 3 year old swinging a broomstick blindfolded.
The Tigers move on to Texas to take on the Rangers, who narrowly overtook them to gain home field advantage in this series.
While we all know the post season is entirely different than the regular season, the Tigers were 6-3 against Texas this season. Ironically, all 3 losses were to Alexi Ogando, who the Rangers have now relegated to the bullpen.
Both lineups are stacked, but I’ll take my chances with Verlander and Fister likely getting 2 starts each potentially. I also think the 2-3-2 format of games also favors the Tigers.
Tigers in 6.
